The most popular siding for outdoor kitchens is stucco of faux stone veneer. If your budget is tight but you really want stone veneer consider putting veneer on the ends and the rear side facing the house and put stucco on the appliance side. Stucco is much less expensive than stone veneer. You can also consider putting tiles on the siding like slate.
Counter tops
Most people use tile for the counter top. If you will have stone veneer and a tile counter top make sure you have a 4" over hang kit so that the tile counter top will over lap the stone veneer and not let water get behind your stone. I have seen stone fall off from water getting in behind.
Concrete counters are very popular. You can diy and do a pretty reasonable job saving a lot of money.
